This course offers an in-depth exploration of comparative legislative studies through various theoretical and methodological lenses with a focus on the recent scholarship on the Legislative Yuan in Taiwan. It will cover themes such as the internal organization of legislatures, the incentives and goals of legislators, the roles of parties and interest groups, representation, and the dynamics between the executive and the legislature.
