『這堂課為「政治學數量資料分析」主要使用的量化工具是R，在修這堂課之前並沒有非常熟悉量化分析，但是經過這堂後的確有更加深化我對於量化分析的掌握，尤其是使用R來進行相關的分析。課堂中，閱讀了相當多的使用量化分析的學術文章，並嘗試使用R來重現文章中的量化結果，並且試著進行一些不一樣的分析方式。總體來說，如果想要獲得一些量化分析及使用R的技巧，並且也想強化自己閱讀英文量化文章，這是一堂值得選的一堂課。』

This course introduces students to statistical techniques and their application to problems in the social sciences. It teaches how to (1) read and understand an empirical research paper, (2) implement appropriate models with relevant data in computer code, (3) interpret the results, and most importantly (4) explain the results to someone unfamiliar with quantitative background.

This course is an introductory class of political science quantitative data analysis. For this purpose, this course name change is necessary.
