本次演講對師生帶來的收穫:
Visual images are everywhere in international politics. But how are we to understand them? The lecture will not only explore in theory and filmmaking of what visuals mean, but also give light to how visual images (photographs, film, art) and visual artifacts (maps, veils, walls, gardens, cyberspace) can challenge and urge critical scholarship to push beyond issues of identity and security to appreciate the creative politics of social-ordering and world-ordering. Through this lecture, students will be able to better comprehend international politics from a unique approach, and allow them to not only think visually, but also feel visually and creatively for a multisensory appreciation of politics.
