活動亮點：

The lecture, “Work! Work! Work! The Victorian Needlewoman and Visual Culture,” explores how women's everyday labor was represented and politicized in Victorian visual culture. Through the figure of the needlewoman, the lecture reveals how seemingly private and ordinary practices can reflect broader structures of gender, class, and power. Bridging literature, history, visual culture, and feminist politics, it offers an interdisciplinary and reflective perspective that encourages students and faculty to critically reconsider how everyday life becomes politically meaningful.
